In all honesty Burrhead, I do not know where you are working. All I asked was where you are working and what the current employment opportunities look like up in Dickenson County. I haven't been in the job market up there since I left and just wondered what it was looking like.

I don't know if you are referring to me Rocket and I don't want to be dragged into this. I don't even know Indian Dad and I just asked some simple questions about current employment opportunities in the area I grew up in. I didn't know it was a sore subject for some.
Age is not the factor here as I see it I agree with elp6n's point of view and I have seen some old timers who's opinion I disagree with.....The whole consolidation issue is a touchy subject and I understand that but most people use flawed arguments when arguing for or against it IMHO when all the facts are out there it would be hard to argue that 3 schools in Wise Co. vs 6 would give the students a better education per dollar spent.
That being said the education of the kids is not first in everyone's minds and not just on one side of the argument (Keeping communities together, making sure all kids get a chance to compete in a sport, saving money, better sports teams, relative that is a Cook or Janitor that may lose there job, Elected on a platform that is either Pro or Anti consolidation)
If you want to have continued employment, you better watch that mouth. The DOC don't like controversy and I know some higher ups. Best watch it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed with that, different beats. Disagree with people all you want, get hellfire and damnation about it but bringing peoples family/jobs and such into things is wrong and we all know that, or should.
